International Dispute Resolution and Risk Management Institute (IDRRMI) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Persatuan Muafakat One Belt One Road (PMOBOR) to establish collaboration to help Malaysia, China and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) minimize risks of legal disputes arising in the Belt and Road projects. The signing ceremony was held in Selangor, Malaysia, on 4 September 2018.
PMOBOR is a non-profit organization in Malaysia that provides advice and network links for Malaysian industries, its neighboring countries and Eurasia to identify and establish business opportunities with Chinese enterprises through the One Belt One Road Initiatives.
IDRRMI is excited to work closely with PMOBOR to provide China, Malaysia and countries along the Belt and Road with professional services to avoid conflicts and legal disputes, as well as facilitating the implementation of BRI. The MoU will also promote exchanges and cooperation on culture and education with PMOBOR which boost shared prosperity of both organizations.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Francis Law, Chairman of IDRRMI and Datuk Iskandar Sarudin, President of PMOBOR.
Dr. Francis Law said, “We are extremely delighted to have signed this MoU with PMOBOR. We look forward to holding joint seminars and other collaborative activities with PMOBOR. It will offer enterprises in Malaysia a platform that supports their full participation in the Belt and Road projects on the principles of international cooperation and integration.”
Datuk Iskandar Sarudin said, “The signing of this cooperative agreement is well-timed. It will be particularly helpful in clearing up the misunderstanding of BRI and resolving disputes between the Government and enterprises.”
With a common goal to help businesses tap new markets of the Belt and Road countries, IDRRMI and PMOBOR will complement each other in the provision of business and professional services and become more effective platforms for trade and investment in the Belt and Road region.
