Professional Risk Management Specialist Accreditation

This certificate accreditation and the process are based on the professional competency standards designed for Professional Risk Management Specialists.

It is also formed on the basis of training and case materials taught in the Professional Risk Management courses. Accreditation participants are required to achieve a corresponding competent level via lectures, case practices, and online learning that are provided by recognized training institutions.

The risk management specialty in IDRRMI is a three-tiered professional qualification

Eligibility and Accreditation for Professional Risk Management Specialists


I. Certified Risk Management Associate (CRMA)

The CRMA is a qualification obtained by successfully completing the in-course assessment at the "Professional Risk Management Training Certificate Course", a course offered by the Academy of International Dispute Resolution and Professional Negotiation (AIDRN). It demonstrates adequate general professional knowledge and skills to practice in the field of professional risk management.

Course application criteria

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in related majors; or
  • Equivalent qualification; or
  • Experience in relevant institutions for at least 1 year

Level II. Certified International Risk Management Fellow (CIRMF)

At the expert level of risk management professionals, applicants are required to specialise in different fields. There are four specific fields are available for selection (Finance & Investment, International Enterprises, Healthcare & Medical, and Construction & Infrastructure). The assessments for accreditation are unique to respective specific streams, however, the mode of assessment and criteria are generally applicable.

Application criteria

Applicants must fulfill one of the following conditions:

  • At least 3 years of related work experience within the specialty; or
  • At least 1 year of related middle-level or above management work experience within the specialty
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in finance-related majors and at least 2 years of related work experience; or
  • Certified Risk Management Associate (CRMA) of IDRRMI

Level II assessment for accreditation

In order to demonstrate concrete professional knowledge and ability, applicants for Certified International Risk Management Fellow (CIRMP) are required to pass two parts of the accreditation assessments:

  1. Case study report in professional quality; and
  2. Panel interview assessment

Level III. Certified International Risk Management Consultant (CIRMC)

CIRMC is the master and top-level risk management in the specific field that is available at the IDRRMI risk management streams. The assessments for accreditation are unique to respective specific streams, however, the mode of assessment and criteria are generally applicable.

Application criteria

Applicants must fulfill one of the following conditions:

  • At least 7 years of related middle-level or above management work experience related to the stream of accreditation specialty; or
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in related majors and at least 5 years of middle-level or above management work experience related to the stream of accreditation specialty; or
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the related majors and at least 1 year of middle-level or above management work experience related to the stream of accreditation specialty; or
  • Certified International Risk Management Fellow (CIRMF) of IDRRMI.

Level III assessment for accreditation

In order to demonstrate concrete professional knowledge and ability, applicants for Certified International Risk Management Consultant (CIRMC) are required to pass two parts of the accreditation assessments:

  1. Submission of case portfolio; and
  2. Panel interview assessment
